Services

The Spring in your Step team look at all aspects of injury prevention, conditioning and foot/biomechanical problems.

The people who attend our clinics vary from sports people to active people to the layperson and they range in age from 7 to 80+.

The range of services that are provided are:

  • Foot/gait assessment and supply of orthotic thereafter if required.
  • Physical Therapy
  • Core stability strengthening exercises
  • Stretching exercises
  • Injury prevention seminars/lectures for coaches, managers, teams and individuals in all sports.
  • All of the above for a team or squad of players

The sports person who is getting recurring injuries (e.g. hamstring) is an obvious candidate for all of the above or the sports person who wishes to improve their performance through development of their core stability strength and flexibility. Every aspect of their training techniques would also be analysed.

Orthotics – anyone with any of the following: Flat feet, high arches, pronating feet, fallen transverse arch with associated localised foot pain, bunions, shin splints, knee pain, repetitive muscle strains/tears, heel spur, hip pain, low back pain, mortons neuroma etc.

Physical Therapy – Anyone with a muscle, joint or back problem. The work done will be assessment based after a full history is taken and thereafter hands on work, not just on the point of pain but on all associated musculature.

Core Stability Strengthening and Stretching Exercises – Everyone from sports people, to active people, to the layperson should learn to do both, as they are the key to preventing injuries occurring. These can also be organised in small group sessions.
